<p>Hrithik Roshan, fresh from the release of his action-packed film ‘Fighter’, is gearing up to start work on his next project. The actor is set to begin shooting for the highly-anticipated sequel to ‘WAR’ in the second week of February. After getting into top shape for ‘Fighter’, Roshan has already shifted his focus to preparing for ‘WAR 2’.</p>

<p>The initial schedule of the film will be shot entirely in Mumbai. A set is currently being constructed in the city for Hrithik’s first shooting schedule. Director Siddharth Anand, who helmed the original ‘WAR’ released in 2019, has handed over the directorial reins to ‘Brahmastra’ director Ayan Mukerji for the sequel.</p>
<p>‘WAR’ was a massive box office success, grossing around Rs 475 crore in the domestic market. For the sequel, South superstar Jr NTR is reportedly set to play the antagonist opposite Hrithik, who will reprise his role as the super-spy. The film is said to be connected to Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’, paving the way for the much-anticipated ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ showdown.</p>
<p>Reports suggest that ‘WAR 2’ is aiming for a late 2024 release, setting the stage for ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’, which is eyeing a 2025 release. The interconnected spy universe is generating considerable buzz among fans eagerly awaiting the epic clash between two Bollywood icons.</p>
